What is stride-Wheelchairs Plus?

STRIDE Wheelchairs Plus Recycling Depot is a project undertaken by STRIDE Assistance for the Disabled, Inc.

STRIDE Assistance for the Disabled is a registered charitable organization which operates solely by a dedicated team of volunteers consisting of retired engineers, former health care professionals, persons with disabilities, or family members of a person with a disability.

Our STRIDE Wheelchairs Plus performs two tasks;

  • Reducing waste in the form of recycling perfectly adequate assistance devices like wheelchairs and walkers

  • Generating funds for STRIDE Assistance for the Disabled, funds that will be used for grants for individuals in need of assistance devices.

STRIDE Assistance for the Disabled has raised and distributed Over $389,000$ in grants to over 1,500 individuals since 1983
